Provision of power supply to the production and power units of compressor stations.
It is the largest main gas line (MGL) to deliver natural gas from fields in the north of Western Siberia to consumers in the republics of the Soviet Union and countries of Central and Western Europe.
The pipeline crosses the Ural Ridge and more than six hundred rivers, including the Ob, the Volga, and the Don. The total length of the pipeline is 4,451 kilometers.
Loading in 2022 was 99% of the total capacity.
