The Kharasaveyskoye field is located on the Yamal Peninsula to the north of the Bovanenkovskoye field, mostly onshore on the peninsula and partially in the Kara Sea.

In terms of gas reserves, it belongs to the category of unique gas reserves - about 2 trillion cubic meters.

The projected level of production from the Cenomanian-Aptian deposits is 32 billion cubic meters of gas per year. Gas production is scheduled to last until 2131.
