The Kharasaveyskoye field is located on the Yamal Peninsula north of the Bovanenkovskoye field, mainly on the peninsula's land and partly in the waters of the Kara Sea.

In terms of the size of gas reserves, it belongs to the unique category — about 2 trillion cubic meters.

The projected production level from Cenomanian-Aptian deposits is 32 billion cubic meters of gas per year. Gas production is expected to last until 2131.
