Solutions for the oil and gas sector

UPS for the oil and gas sector is a complex equipment whose scope of application is not limited to the protection of automatic control systems in production facilities. These systems are used at oil production and refining facilities, where the consequences of disruptions in the power supply system are so great that much stricter requirements are imposed on equipment designed to protect numerous nodes than on commercial UPS systems.

For example, uninterruptible power supply systems installed on distillation columns, where the process of separating oil into lighter fractions is carried out, should have a fairly high capacity, since, as a rule, they protect not only control and automation systems, but also provide autonomous power to various actuators (start of operation of any engine when a certain valve or gate valve is closed). The capacity of an industrial critical load, which is protected by an uninterruptible power supply system, is sometimes not so great, but the risk associated with its loss can be enormous. Any failure of automation at an oil refinery within the city limits can lead to a national disaster.

Solutions for industrial enterprises

The UPS systems used in this segment are classified as "industrial systems". The systems are designed to protect processes that do not lead to irreversible severe consequences, even in the event of a prolonged loss of input current, but disruptions in the operation of the power supply to these facilities can lead to the loss of not only products, but also time to restart the production line. Typical examples of application areas are pharmacological, food processing, mechanical engineering, etc.

Solutions for the electric power and nuclear industries

At the enterprises of the energy complex, 220 V DC voltage is quite common. With this practice in mind, most power plants and all step-down substations in the Soviet Union were built. The automation and technological cycle of any power plant must operate independently of the plant as a whole.

The equipment used at nuclear power plants must be supplied according to the safety class. And the manufacturing company itself must have a license to design and manufacture equipment for nuclear installations.
